What the preview gives you
This is the opening module of the practitioner programme, not a shortened sales webinar. You will cover the published Week 1 and Week 2 curriculum and use HireAI, a fictional recruitment screening system, to practise the work.

- A structured way to identify affected people, harms, oversight needs and release blockers.
- A completed first-pass HireAI system map and harm assessment you can use to judge the depth of the full programme.

AI foundations for governance
- Understand the AI lifecycle, common model types and the roles of providers, deployers, users and affected people.
- Explain why AI governance exists and where basic risk thinking belongs in product and operational decisions.
- HireAI lab, part 1: describe the recruitment screening system, map its actors and identify the decisions that still need human control.
Week 2 · Wednesday 30 September 2026
Responsible AI, trustworthy AI and harm
- Work through fairness, transparency, explainability, privacy, reliability, security and meaningful human oversight.
- Assess individual, group, organisational and societal harm using probability and severity.
- HireAI lab, part 2: build a stakeholder and harm map, choose risk treatments and decide what could block release.
